The Hen House

The Hen House was established in the climbing season of 2009. It is a seasonal coffee shop which runs from the 1st of May to the 30th of September.

It is a place for the climbers to relax on rest days or rainy days, swop stories, watch films and absorb the beautiful views of the lower De Pakhuys Mountains.

We are open 9am - 5pm Tuesday to Sunday, ending the week with our Sunday night dinner and film screening, which have become a tradition.

The Hen House has become an integral part of the social life of climbers in Rocklands over the past two years. We offer hearty breakfasts, delicious cakes, fine coffee and a space to interact and chill out amongst like minded people from all over the world. We also have a WIFI hotspot!
